A BuildUp internship is not what a traditional internship is. In our internships, high school students work on a project basis on a real, scoped open actionable item for your company โ guided overseen by a dedicated Project Manager. They deliver a clear and finished output at the end.
Real business work like market research, competitor analysis, business plans, financial strategy, prototypes, and more โ scoped to your needs and goals. The Past Partnerships section above shows what our partner companies have built.
No, there's no cost to your company. Students are our paying clients; they invest in the career exploration and internship experience. We ask only for a clear project brief and a few hours of your time across the engagement.
Programs are virtual and tentatively run for 2-6 months, with students contributing 8-10 hours a week across the engagement. The exact structure depends on the program and project depth your company chooses.
A project manager guides the students day to day, and oversees the engagement end to end โ reviewing progress, catching issues early, and ensuring the final output matches your brief. Your time goes into the brief and the handover; the quality checks happen in between.
Anyone, there's no specific criteria. If you have a real project, we'll find the right student for it โ from a community of 50,000+, across schools in 27 countries. Startups, growing companies, CSR teams, HR teams, even accelerators looking to support their portfolio โ if there's a brief, there's a match.
